BUICK

buick logo

Buick is a marque of automobile sold in the United States, Canada, China, Taiwan, Qatar, Kuwait, and Israel by General Motors Company. It is GM’s North America-based entry-level luxury brand. Buick’s emblem consists of three shields, each bisected diagonally to the right by a straight line, the shields arranged touching each other in a left-diagonal pattern, inside a circle. If represented in color, the leftmost shield is red, the middle white, and the rightmost blue, although white is sometimes represented by light gray. This design, known as the Trishield, was adopted in 1959 for the 1960 models and represents the three models that comprised the lineup that year—LeSabre, Invicta, and Electra. The shields are adopted from the shield of the Buick family crest, which in modified form had been used on Buicks since the 1930s. A version of the traditional crest appeared on Electras through the 1980s.

PORSCHE

porsche logo

Porsche SE or Porsche is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury high performance automobiles, which is majority-owned by the Piëch and Porsche families. The company is headquartered in Zuffenhausen, a city district of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. Porsche’s company logo was based on the coat of arms of Free People’s State of Württemberg of former Weimar Germany, which had Stuttgart as its capital and became part of Baden-Württemberg after the political consolidation of West Germany in 1949.

OPEL

opel logo

Adam Opel GmbH, commonly known as Opel, is a German automaker. The company was founded on 21 January 1863, began making automobiles in 1899, and was acquired by General Motors Corporation in 1929. As part of GM Europe, Opel is GM’s largest European brand and, along with Vauxhall Motors in the UK, it forms GM’s core European business. The lightning bolt on the Opel badging is a reference to the famous Opel Blitz truck (the German word ‘Blitz’ means lightning or flash). The logo was originally a Zeppelin, which became more stylized, and as the Zeppelin became less popular as a form of transport, the logo was changed. There is also a noticeable similarity between the winged Zeppelin and the lightning logo. Starting with the Opel Insignia, the Blitz logo will be updated. The border that is circling the lightning bolt will be wider to incorporate the Opel name, and the surfaces will be more spherical to give the logo a three-dimensional look.

FIAT

fiat logo

Fiat S.p.A., an acronym for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (English: Italian Automobile Factory of Turin), is an Italian automobile manufacturer, engine manufacturer, financial and industrial group based in Turin in the Piedmont region. Fiat was founded in 1899 by a group of investors including Giovanni Agnelli. Fiat has also manufactured tanks and aircraft. As of 2009, Fiat is the world’s 6th largest carmaker as well as Italy’s largest carmaker. It has a three-dimensional effect which conveys an idea of technology, Italian design, dynamism and a strong personality, while it also harks back to the round logo (white wording against a red background, surrounded by laurel leaves) that identified powerful, high performance Fiat models for many years. The essential, strong new logo therefore conveys ‘ongoing change’, a sign of the past re-read in a modern key which is particularly representative of Fiat today, a brand projected towards the challenges of the future but also proud of its historical identity. The two main elements of the new logo (the shield shape and the colour red) immediately bring to mind the Fiat 524 of 1931, which was the first to use a rectangular logo that blended into the new grille, designed with stylistic but also aerodynamic pretensions, in the shape of a shield with vertical elements.

Rover Mascot

rover logo

The Rover Company is a former British car manufacturing company founded as Starley & Sutton Co. of Coventry in 1878. After developing the template for the modern bicycle with its Rover Safety Bicycle of 1885, the company moved into the automotive industry. It started building motorcycles and Rover cars, using their established marque with the iconic Viking Longship, from 1904 onwards. Land Rover vehicles were added from 1947 onwards, with all production based in Solihull after moving to these premises after World War II. The Rover logo represents a Viking ship, a link between the meaning of ‘Rover’(to wander about) and the Vikings, which did very much the same thing albeit via the oceans rather than land.

HYUNDAI

hyundai logo

Hyundai Motor Company, a division of the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, is the world’s fifth largest automaker in terms of units sold per year and one of the Big Asian Four (with Toyota, Honda and Nissan). Its slogan is “Drive your way”. Hyundai Motor Company is a division of Hyundai Motor Group which also manages Kia Motors. The Hyundai logo seen above is appears to be an oval shaped H (symbolizing Hyundai). It is also supposed to be symbolic of the company’s desire to expand. The ovaloid shape indicates the company’s global expansion and the slanted, stylized ‘H’ is symbolic of two people (specifically the company and customer) shaking hands.

SKODA

skoda logo

Škoda Auto is an automobile manufacturer in the Czech Republic. In 1991, it became a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. Its sales reached 674 530 cars in 2008. Although the Škoda logo is viewed as one of the most original and stylistically clean manufacturing company trademarks in the world, the author is not yet known. The black and green logo, which has been used since 1994, gives the Škoda brand a greater degree of originality – black symbolizes the hundred-year tradition, green signalizes environmental production. The big cirque symbolizes that SKODA products are impeccable; the bird’s wing symbolizes that the high-tech products are sold all over the world; the right-pointed arrow symbolizes advanced technique.

CHRYSLER

chrysler Logo

Chrysler Group, LLC is an American automobile manufacturer headquartered in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan. Chrysler was first organized as the Chrysler Corporation in 1925.In September 1962, the company adopted a logo named Pentastar, made of five triangles arranged so their bases formed the sides of a pentagon. Since 1976 it has been part of PSA Peugeot Citroën, and its headquarters is on rue Fructidor, Paris. The Citroen logo looks like something you might see on an American cartoon soldier – two inverted Vs. Andre Citroen – imagine one of those old black and white photographs with an ancient man in a white beard – started in the motor trade by building gear wheels before branching out into the motorcar, and the twin chevrons are meant to represent gear teeth in honour of the old engineer’s early fettlings. The company’s famous “double chevron” logo derives from André Citroën’s early business in gear-cutting the company pioneered mass production of double helically-cut gear teeth, which mesh together in a chevron.

Helpful tips on buying cars: new and used

You can be a fussy costumer or a simple easy believer when you make purchases. It doesn’t matter too much as long as you remain happy with your purchases. But there are always two sides to the story. If we discuss cars there can only be two types of shoppers. There first type will go to a dealer, pick a car and ask for the price. But there is also a category of shoppers that will ask for the price and go shopping around looking for the best possible variant that involves the car model they chose. You can be one or the other. It doesn’t matter as long as it keeps you satisfied.

But there are a few necessary things. Please remember to consider them before you go shopping. You should know the type of car you want to get. The amount of doors, the year of the production, everything matters. If you know you need a Porsche, ask different car providers about the price they are willing to offer. Don’t just go for the first number you were given. That would not be wise. There usually are different options to pick from. In order to sell you the car the car place will do anything so be ready to negotiate.

Internet is your best friend. We meant it seriously as internet is usually that place where the options meet you and make you happy. If you think of getting a brand new car, you can research online and find the bets sites. Most internet sites will be of a great help to you, showing you the model in different colors from different angles. Interior and exterior of the car will all be available to you online.

When you have collected all the information you need about the car, you should go to a car sale place and try to bring the price down for yourself. Usually these things to work but we don’t give you a 100% certainty. If we talk about used or old cars the situation is better as it is easy to negotiate. New cars are perfect so deals want what they want for them. It is possible to save yourself some dollars and bring down the sticker price a bit.

Don’t consider buying one car model. Have a few optional variants and choose from them. Of course, if it is the car of your dreams, it is different.

When you try to get yourself a used car you want to reduce the price to the minimum. If you have a conversation with a private party instead of the store, you should gather as much information as you possibly can about the vehicle. The maintenance records of the car are very significant. Ask the party about the reason for selling the automobile. You will definitely understand when he wants to sell it as the car is in a terrible condition.

You should have a few test drives to see how you feel in the car. Nobody is forcing you to get something you don’t like. Don’t be afraid to be impolite in this. You should stay comfortable with your decision. Get insurance for yourself when you have your car. It doesn’t matter if it is new or old – it needs it anyway. Cheap auto insurance can also be purchased via the internet. With the help of cheap auto insurance you will protect yourself and your car wherever you go.

Budgeting Business Finances in an Economic Crisis

Learn to budget

In these tough financial times, more and more businesses fall into financial despair and need extra funding in this bad economy. Many of these businesses could change their financial position somewhat by focusing on their budget and cutting it THE BONE.

The first step to take, which is the easiest and fastest, is to cut out that unnecessary spending.

At first glance, you might think that your budget is very tight and there is nothing in there to cut. As a business owner and financial consultant for over 20 years, I have found that this is seldom the case. There are almost always ways to cut costs and save money.

A big mistake most businesses make is not taking the time to prepare a budget when times are good. Typically business owners tend to take an interest into budgeting money once they’re in financial trouble. Their debts have piled up, their income doesn’t seem to cover their bills and habits, and they are stressed out as a result. Does this sound familiar? If so, you probably need to learn the usual budgeting techniques.

Budgeting and financial planning are the cornerstones of responsible money management. Not only that, but they are vital in developing a workable plan for the future, and can even reduce stress. While many businesses shy away from the accountability and responsibility required to create and maintain an accurate budget, buckling down and building a budget can ultimately help reduce stress and worry, and lead to a more pleasant and fulfilling life.

Before getting started, it’s important to define what a budget is, and what it is not. It is not just a list of where your money goes each month. A budget is a comprehensive overall picture of your financial situation where money comes in, where it goes out, and what it’s spent on. A budget is a plan, a map of the financial future. It should include salaries, bonuses, bills, insurance, savings, and other expenditures. It should be divided into wants and needs and should be organized as a line-item list, with each item

categorized and accounted for.

Most importantly, a budget should be accurate. Creating a budget that is inaccurate is a complete waste of time. People often create budgets that reflect where they want to be financially, or that ignore certain one-time-only expenditure this is not going to be effective. Instead of focusing on where you want to be and fudging the lines of where you are, make your budget an accurate and honest reflection of your current economic situation. Once you have that in place, you will be able to more easily identify where changes can and should be made, and you can begin to transform your financial situation by spending and saving responsibly.

Just as a budget should be honest and accurate, it should also be flexible. While, whenever possible, we try to plan for the unexpected, it is a fact of life that there will be times you need to go beyond your budget, a financial crisis, for example. This is understandable, and does not indicate some failure on your part to plan. In such situations, simply keep account of your spending and adjust your budget for subsequent months, where possible, to make up for the extra expenditures.

The most important thing to remember about a budget is that it is a living, breathing thing “well, not really, but it should be treated as such. A budget will do you no good if you create it then put it aside and never look at it again. A budget should be updated monthly and kept on hand for quick reference and revision. Keeping your budget up to date will allow you to see not only where you are financially, but will help you see how to get where you’d like to be.

Creating an accurate budget is important not only because it helps you see where you are financially, but also helps you map out the road to where you’d like to be.

What makes up a good budget? What expenses should you include in the budget? What can you do about variable expenses in your budget? How can you personalize a budget?

Where are you going?

The key to a good budget or spending plan is knowing where you have been and where you want to go. Knowing where you have been is done by insuring you have written down where all you money has been going. You can find this information by categorizing and reviewing your last 6 months of check registers or other accounting methods you have been employing. If you have no such method in place, you have just uncovered your main budgeting problem which is the first item to be corrected.

If on the other hand you use a check register or other means but have numerous general entries such as “cash” or “miscellaneous” or other unidentifiable labels, this too must be corrected. You MUST know where your money is going before you can divert it. I recommend carrying a small spiral notebook for at least 2 weeks (longer is far better) and recording every cash transaction. You will truly be amazed by what you learn from this experience.
